The Bigfoot Teacher
A dying blue Bigfoot elder explains perception blocks, the tribes, and his people's homes on the Moon, Mars, and Vega.
The Bigfoot Teacher of the May 16, 2020 session is one of the archive’s most affecting voices: a “blue Bigfoot” elder, some three thousand years old and dying, giving what he calls his final teaching before releasing his body.
His account overturns the cryptid framing entirely. Bigfoot do not hide with technology but with perception blocks — they ask the forest to conceal them: the trees, the rocks, the air, the water agree to bend attention away. It is consciousness-based invisibility, of a piece with the archive’s larger claim that perception is negotiable.
Nor are Bigfoot one people. There are territorial, military-like tribes in the national parks — dangerous to approach — and there is the space-faring blue tribe, living on the Moon, on Mars, and among humanity’s ancestors in the Vega star system. Some Bigfoot civilizations, he says plainly, are at war with one another — a whole hidden geopolitics running parallel to ours.
The session ends with the teacher giving “his final breath” and transcending the body — a quiet enactment, mid-archive, of the deathless transition the sessions promise. He belongs with the Insectoids and the Dolphin Race among the elder voices: beings older than our history, speaking once through the interface before moving on.
